Cherry's Industrial Equipment Corp. was founded in 1982 to market a type of material handling equipment known as "Pallet Inverter". It seemed to be a simple idea, a machine to turn pallet loads of product up side down. Envision bags of fertilizer or kitty litter or sugar or any dry granular product for that matter. Imagine the broken bag on the bottom of the palletized load and then think about unloading all the bags to get at that broken bag to replace it and then reloading the entire pallet. Now consider the back strain, wrist injuries, strained muscles and subsequent workmen's compensation claims and lost man-hours. A Pallet Inverter can solve the whole problem. A forklift or pallet truck places the palletized load in the inverter. A clamping plate secures the load and the machine literally turns the load over. Now the damaged product can easily be replaced or the pallet can be exchanged or any number of other procedures can be performed depending upon the particular application. The Pallet Inverter was however only the beginning. Over the years Cherry's has increased its product line to include a wide range of pallet related material handling products.
Customer shipping requirements have created the need for manufacturers and warehousing to have the flexibility to exchange in-house pallets to CHEP rental pallets, customer pallets or slip-sheets. Pallet Inverters provide 180 degrees of rotation, making pallet exchange quick and simple.
Cherry's is involved in the design, engineering, manufacture and distribution of a wide variety of standard size and custom pallet transfer systems. Our line of free standing and in-line 180° inverters includes designs to handle the turning of a wide variety of load sizes and shapes. Our pallet and freezer spacer retrieval system allows for the removal of pallets and freezer spacers in just seconds.
